Client Server Specialist

The Client Server Specialist increases and maintains the
productivity of every PC based employee by enhancing the employees ability to
communicate through maintaining
client-server systems at the highest efficiency.
Job Duties
-
Troubleshoot
servers at first level support
-
Solve
minor, routine, or isolated server issues
-
Maintains
passwords, data integrity, and file system security for desktop environment
-
Escalate
complex or expanding problems
-
Install
and configuration new servers
-
Upgrade
server software
-
Perform
basic hardware repairs
-
Update
management on status of problems
-
Assist
PC Technicians on large scope problems
-
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Ability to follow all company policies and procedures as well as internal departmental procedures to ensure consistency in server systems
- Ability to work in team driven environment to assist in organization-wide issues yet work independently to solve isolated problems
- Continuously educate to stay informed of recent advances and problems
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- College or technical certification preferred
- At least two years of PC or server support experience required
- Ability to make investigate and assess issues to make certain the correct solution is implemented
- Willingness to take ownership for own work to continuously improve performance
- Required Certification: Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA) or Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE)
- A plus Unix certified
